Summary

Equation Run collects no personal data. It contains no ads, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs, and it works entirely offline. The game does not connect to the internet, and it does not even request permission to do so. Your progress is saved only on your own device.

Information we collect

We collect none. Equation Run does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information about you.

Because the app makes no network requests, we never receive any information from it, and we have no access to anything on your device. There is no server, no database, and no account system behind this game. The app does not require an account, sign-in, registration, email address, or username to play.

Information we specifically do not collect

To be explicit, Equation Run does not collect any of the following:

  • Personal details — name, date of birth, gender, or any profile information.
  • Contact information — email address, phone number, or mailing address.
  • Location — no GPS, no coarse location, no location inferred from an IP address.
  • Device or advertising identifiers — no Android Advertising ID, no device IDs, no IP addresses.
  • Usage analytics — no gameplay telemetry, session tracking, or event logging is sent anywhere.
  • Contacts — the app never reads your address book.
  • Photos, media, and files — the app never accesses your camera, microphone, or external storage.
  • Financial information — there are no in-app purchases and no payment processing of any kind.

Data stored on your device

Equation Run saves your progress locally on your device using Android's standard app-preferences storage (Unity PlayerPrefs). This data never leaves your device. We cannot read it, and it is not backed up to any server we control.

It consists only of:

  • Your high score
  • Total coins earned
  • Music volume, sound-effects volume, and the sound on/off setting
  • Which level is currently selected
  • Which levels have been unlocked
  • The number of runs played
  • An internal save-format version number

None of this identifies you. It is game progress and settings, nothing more.

You can erase all of it at any time, in either of two ways:

  • Clear the app's data in Android Settings, under Apps → Equation Run → Storage.
  • Uninstall the game, which removes the saved data along with it.

Permissions

Equation Run requests no sensitive Android permissions. It does not ask for location, camera, microphone, contacts, phone, SMS, calendar, or external storage access.

It does not request internet access either. The app does not declare the Android INTERNET permission. Android therefore does not permit it to open a network connection at all.

Advertising and analytics

There are none. Specifically, Equation Run contains:

  • No ad networks and no advertising SDK. Unity Ads is disabled in the build.
  • No analytics or attribution SDKs. Unity Analytics is disabled, and there is no Firebase, Google Analytics, AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Facebook SDK.
  • No crash or performance reporting. Unity Cloud Diagnostics and Unity Performance Reporting are both disabled.
  • No tracking of you across other apps or websites.

The app also does not use cookies or any web tracking technology. It is a native Android app, not a web page.

Third-party services

Equation Run integrates no third-party services or SDKs of any kind. The project ships no third-party plugins. There are no social features, leaderboards, multiplayer, chat, or user-generated content, and the game does not use Google Play Games Services. It contains no in-app purchases and no payment processing.

Separately, and not as part of the app: the game is distributed through the Google Play Store. Google may collect its own information as the app store — for example, download and installation data — under Google's privacy policy. That collection is Google's, governed by Google's policy, and is outside our control. It is not something the app does and not something we receive.

Children's privacy

Equation Run is designed for a general audience that includes children. We collect no personal information from any user, including children under 13.

The game contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, no external links, and no social or chat features, so there is nothing for a child to disclose and nothing for us to receive.

Equation Run complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and with Google Play's Families policy.

Data sharing, disclosure, and sale

We do not share, disclose, or sell your data, because we do not collect any. There is no data to transfer to advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or anyone else, and none has ever existed.

The only conceivable exception would be a valid legal request from a competent authority. Even then, we would have nothing to produce: we hold no player information at all.

Data retention

We retain nothing on our side, because we receive nothing.

The save data described above stays on your device for as long as the game is installed. It persists until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app, at which point it is gone.

Security

Because Equation Run collects and transmits no data, there is no player data in our custody that could be breached. Your save data is held on your own device and is protected by Android's normal app sandboxing and whatever device security you have configured.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and UK GDPR, and the CCPA and CPRA in California, give you rights to access, correct, delete, port, or object to the processing of your personal data.

Those rights are already satisfied here: we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export, delete, or stop processing. We have no profile of you and no way to identify you.

The game progress stored on your device is entirely under your own control. You can view it in the game and erase it at any time using the steps in Data stored on your device, without asking us and without our involvement.

International users

Equation Run collects and transmits no data, so there are no international data transfers. Nothing is sent from your device to us or to anyone else, in any country.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes — for example, if a future version of the game were ever to collect data — will be reflected here before or when that version is released.

This page is the authoritative version of the Equation Run privacy policy.
